Specialist physiotherapy & rehabilitation has been our core business since its inauguration in 1995, providing professional sports injury treatment using the world-renowned Biodex / BTE rehabilitation equipment. With this unrivalled knowledge and experience of musculoskeletal injury solutions IPRS provides on a national basis, sickness and absence management to large corporates through to individual Occupational Health practitioners. Our extensive clinical in-house team of physiotherapist and rehabilitations specialists, coupled with carefully selected and monitored physiotherapy network, has enabled IPRS to grow to be one of the largest national providers of physiotherapy.



 
  • IPRS Mediquipe recently organised a training trip to BTE headquarters in Baltimore, USA for training on the BTE PrimusRS. The week involved clinical visits to see the equipment at The Curtis Hand Centre at Union Memorial Hospital, Mercy hospital and The US Naval Academy, as well at two days training at BTE HQ.
    The training was put on for hospitals who have recently purchased the PrimusRS. Clinicians from Guy's and St Thomas's hospital, Derby Royal Infirmary, Kings Mill hospital, Leicester Royal Infirmary and Sheffield Northern General attended the course.
    A great time was had by all, and the clinicians are now fully proficient in using the PrimusRS!

  • Rehabilitation BTE & Biodex objective equipment is to be available for students use at the new Anglo European Chiropractic College Rehabilitation Centre, Bournemouth University. As the oldest & most respected chiropractic college in Europe, with over 450 full-time students & with around 40,000 treatments per year, this newly built centre and its high tech equipment is essential to provide functional assessment & training as necessary.

  • Musculoskeletal contract awarded for NOMS staff.
    Physiotherapy services have been provided to HM Prison Service staff by IPRS for over 6 years. The new musculoskeletal contract focuses on work related injuries with fast track treatment designed to both retain and return staff back to work as quickly as possible, minimizing sickness absence in the workplace.

  • Corporate Physio Services can now be extended to include objective functional demand measures. Assessing workplace physical demands can be a valuable tool to help substantiate clinical &/or management decisions when considering situations such as returning an employee to work following restricted duties, identifying to what extent an individual can safely return to work following a prolonged absence, and/or if an employee can return to their previous role in any form.

  • Elite Physio Meeting hosted by IPRS
    Physiotherapists working in professional football and rugby met for the very first time in the IPRS Prism center in Birmingham. This was set up for the physios to exchange ideas and to network.

  • Clincians from the UK visit Baltimore
    In April, 10 occupational therapists and physiotherapists visited Baltimore for clinical visits and training on the BTE PrimusRS. This equipment has recently been installed in Liverpool Royal, Liverpool Broadgreen, Derby Royal and Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

  • Biodex training for Blackburn Rovers FC
    Dave Fevre (head physio of Blackburn Rovers FC) visited the headquaters of Biodex in New York in February, for training on the new System 4 Isokinetic Machine and Balance System SD which he is using to test and train the Blackburn squad.
