2.1 SESSIONS

What are sessions? IPRS uses Session variables to store user information. Sessions are temporary files created when a user signs in on the IPRS Web site. Sessions are removed when a user logs off or when the browser is closed, Sessions also expire after 30 minutes of no action, thus preventing others from accessing your information should you leave you computer logged in to the website. What do we use sessions for? IPRS use Sessions to store your User Id, once you have entered you username and password your unique User Id is extracted from the IPRS database and stored in a Session. This User Id is then used as you navigate through the IPRS web pages to customise your browsing experience to your particular requirements. This will hide information specific to you from all other users.
